Hi~I am a first time mother of a 4 month old boy and love it! I work 2 days a week and love spending my time with my son but I am also craving the attention of adults! It seems like since I had a baby, my friends have vanished, most dont have children or they work full time and the ones that do have older children are busy with their sports, homework etc..anyone out there with a little one who is looking for a daytime friend also...you know to exercise/walk with, shop, have coffee or lunch with....I am happily married and just looking for some new girlfriends in the area! I live in Vernon New Jersey.

Well,we`re about 25min from eachother...!I live in Westtown,Orange County,NY(not far from Pine Island).I come to Vernon,NJ pretty often,because I have few friends who live there.When my son was younger,we use to take `Mommy&Me` class @Minerals Spa on Rt94.
I know how you feel;once my son was born I was very lonely.Like you said,all my friends vanished and because most of them are w/out kids,we just didn`t have much in common anymore.Sad...
I moved to this area almost 4 years ago and didn`t know anyone.My son is 2 1/2 now and when he was younger,I was desparate to find some type of playgroup,meet new friends,possibly other Mom`s...Sometimes you just get tired of shopping malls,etc.It took a while,but we were able to find few.Once I joined a couple of playgroups,I was able to meet lots of nice Mom`s and have playdates.
My son attends this little preschool twice a week and there are a lot of Mom`s from Vernon who come to drop off their kids.Unfortunatelly,I don`t know anyone w/baby...
seems like a common thread of moms with little ones that arent in school. but then none of us seem to live near one another...im in orange county, ca with my wonderful 10 month old son and talkin gibbrish half the day
