My son will be three in Oct. my ex and I have joint custody and are trying to potty train him. His 1/2 brother is a year younger than my son and is using his potty chair. My son refuses. He is such a creature of habit I don't know how to encourage him without upsetting him. I'm not pushing for him to do it I know he will eventually just curious for any ideas to help it along smoothly for him.
Hello, I know exactly how you feel. My oldest was 3 and 1 week old when finally she agreed 100% with the idea of the potty. For weeks prior I kept on talking to her, videos, rewards, etc.,etc. So finally I took her with me to the trashcan outside and told her to say bye,bye to her pull-ups and that from that moment on if she didn't use the potty she was going to be dirty until I was able to change her, and I kid you not it work. I believe she had 2 accidents only, and for bedtime I didn't tell her but I obviously use a mattress protector. So anyways all kids are different and my daughter was stubborn so I went for a more dramatic approach and thank god it work. Good luck!
