No Avatar Well it could be that he is sleeping to much in the day time. Or drink juice or suger products in the early evening that will tend to keep them up. Have you talked to the doctor about that. You might have to cut his naps shorter. And of course trying to get him tired early in the evening please let me know if that works. By the way Im looking for moms that might want to build a business from home. If you sign on you can purchase over a million products on whole sale. And get paid for buying on your business site. They have baby items foods the best formula diapers toys alot of thing. Call me Sara 954 253-3490 the business site is SaraBajger.ltdteam.com then go to guest

avatar thank you so much for responding and giving me advice. i wish that was the problem. he actually cut a nap out during the day by himself so now he only takes one nap and he has even not taken a nap before and he still wakes up. Also he doesn't really get any sugary drinks or that much juice especially at night if he gets any juice it is mostly water with a splash of juice, so i don't think that is the problem either. But again thank you and if you hear anything else let me know i am still needing some ideas.

No Avatar MY BABY SLEEPS PERFECTLY THROUGH THE NIGHT. hE IS 12 MONTHS. I GIVE HIM DINNER AND BATH AFTER THAT. I PUT HIM DOWN AT 7P AND HE WAKES UP AT 8A. I LET HIM CRY IT OUT WHEN HE WAS 10 MONTHS OLD. 2 NIGHTS HE WOULD WAKE UP AND CRY BUT NOW HE SLEEPS SO SOUND AND HARDLY EVER WAKES UP. THAT IS THE WAY I WILL DO IT FOR ALL MY KIDS.

No Avatar HI! I have a 14-month old who started doing the same thing! Before, he would sleep 12 hours easily, but now he wakes up on and off. SO, I would suggest making a checklist of questions and just trying each one. For example: has his routine changed? does he have a routine? has something changed in his life? New pet, parent has new job with different hours? does the juice he drinks or foods contain too much sugar? is he hot (not enough air-conditioning/fan)? cold(too much cold air, etc)? does he have a security item like a teddy bear or blankie? teething? has he gotten used to being in bed with you? Anyway, I could go on and on, but that's what I did and realized that we had moved recently and my son's Dad had changed hours at work, so routine changed, and although it hasn't greatly affected us, our son was reacting to it by not sleeping well. It seems so simply, and I felt bad(and stupid!) that it hadn't clicked earlier, but sometimes we forget and assume they're okay if we are. And every Mom knows their baby, and I knew there was a reason! Hope this works!

No Avatar HI there, my 10 1/2 month old use to sleep from 7:30-7...she is now up at 5 a.m. and needs to drink 5 oz.  She'll finish it in 10 min but then it takes me time to rock her back to sleep.  Does anyone have any suggestions why this is happening and how to get her back through?  I use to give her water when she woke up and she wouldgo back to sleep.  Now she needs formula.  I'm exhausted.  LOL

No Avatar My son is 14 months old and was waking up twice during the night. We would give him a bottle and he would go back to sleep. His doctor told us to stop giving him a bottle when he wakes up and not to acknowledge him that he was waking up because he had developed a routine and expected us to be right there when he woke up. She said for the first couple of nights he would cry for a couple of hours but would learn to put himself back 2 sleep. We tried it out. He cried a while the first night and not as much the next night. As time goes on he is getting better. He now sleeps in his own room instead of ours next to us and he will wake up once whine a little but will go right back to sleep. So it seems to be working for us. Hope this will help you out.

Hello,My name is Stormy (Yes 's my real
name) I have 12 month old son who also
refuses to sleep through the night .
My husband and I and our son live with my
parents and the 3 of us share a room .
I am wondering if sharing a room has
anything to do with his sleep patterns?
When we do get him to sleep he does sleep
rather well . But does awake for a bottle
  or diaper.
I have to admit in the middle of the night
when he does wake up . Rather than
rocking him back to sleep . It's just as
easy to put him between my husband and
I . Which I hear is dangerous and is habit
forming for the little one. But at 2 am and
in the midst of what seems like  a never
ending dream where I may never sleep
through the night again . It seems like
the lesser of the 2 evils.
Any ideas on how I can have my little
sleeper sleep through the night in the
  same room ?
