Satisfy a sweet tooth with this fun and yummy recipe.
Description:
Nearly everyone has a taste for honey, in fact, people have been eating it for thousands of years. Ancient Egyptian tombs are illustrated with pictures of servants smoking bees out of their nests, and until the Middle Ages, honey was the sweetener of choice throughout Europe. Today, many use it as a healthy, natural alternative to refined sugar.
Step by Step:
Materials:
3 cups low-fat granola
3/4 cups dried fruit (such as dried cranberries, finely chopped dried apricots or dates)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
3 egg whites, lightly beaten
