Spring into the season with a bouquet of homemade flowers!

Description:
Everything's coming up roses and pansies, tulips and zinnias.

Flowers enchant everyone with their fragrances and colors, and they especially fascinate young children. Their drawings are usually covered with flowers, so when you show them new ways to use their favorite subject, they'll be eager to learn.

Step by Step:

  1. Cut out three different-sizes of construction paper circles and fringe the edges. If your child is too young to use scissors he or she can tear out the circles with your help.
  2. Put the cut or torn circles together so that the largest circle is on the bottom, and the smallest is on top.
  3. Add small yellow circles or yellow dot stickers to the middle of each flower.
  4. Create other flowers by bending and twisting pipe cleaners into the shapes of petals.
  5. Use straws, pipe cleaners, or craft sticks (Tongue-Depressor Flowers)for stems.
  6. Now make a bouquet out of your home-made flowers and tie them together with some yarn or a large ribbon.
