Children are a big part of the seder ceremony, and when they get involved with the preparations they learn a lot about the meaning of the holiday.
Step by Step:
Materials:
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
5 to 6 pieces plain matzoh
12 oz. bittersweet chocolate bits (kosher for Passover)
1/4 cup crushed almonds or other nuts (optional)

Step by Step:
| 1. | Melt margarine with brown sugar in saucepan; boil until mixture coats a spoon. |
| 2. | Line a cookie sheet with foil, lay matzoh on sheet and brush with brown sugar mixture. Bake for 3-4 minutes (watch closely, it burns easily), until the mixture starts to bubble. |
| 3. | Cover with chocolate chips and put back in the oven until the chips start to melt. |
| 4. | Spread the chocolate with a spatula to cover the matzoh. If you want, sprinkle crushed almonds over the top. |
| 5. | Let the chocolate-covered matzoh harden in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. |
| 6. | While the chocolate is cooling, clean up the mess. (You can start by licking the pot!) |
| 7. | Break into pieces and serve. Makes 10 - 12 servings. |
