Stirring up Colors - Sep 2nd, 2007
This is a fun and creative way to learn and mix colors, and explore the world of art through palette painting.
Step by Step:
Using a plastic knife or craft stick, spread paint on fingerpainting paper or cardboard. Ask your child what colors there are and what happens when you mix them together. (This is a great hands on science experiment) Use the edge of the plastic knife or craftstick to create designs. Dry picture overnight and hang up the next morning.

Materials:
- Finger paints (make sure they are thick)
- Spill proof containers
- Plastic knife or craft stick,you may substitute with tongue depressors or plastic knifes
- Fingerpaint paper or cardboard
- Covering for table.
- You may also use sponges, cotton swaps, spoons or sticks for other effects.
