Storytime - Nov 29th
We all know the benefits of reading. So, curl up with your little one and read that favorite book - TWICE!
Description:
Does your child have a favorite story, like "Green Eggs and Ham," "Hop on Pop," or "Are You My Mother?" Little ones love having their favorite stories read to them again and again. After awhile they will have them memorized and can "read" along with you. Familiar stories are comforting and help ease your child's mind about simple fears.
Step by Step:
- You or your spouse can read a favorite story every night to your child.
- If you are going out in the evening, be sure the babysitter is instructed to read your child's favorites at bedtime to provide continuity and security.
- Go to the library with your child and ask the librarian what stories she recommends.
- Take your child to the library for story time, when a librarian or volunteer reads some of the new books in the library.
